Frequently asked questions
What is checked on pre-owned designer jewellery?
The individual piece is reviewed by two authenticators and authenticated through LegitApp. Materials, hallmarks, engravings, construction, settings and other identifying details are considered where applicable, and a physical authenticity certificate is supplied.
Read our authenticity promiseHow is the condition of each fine jewellery piece assessed?
Pre-owned jewellery is assessed for metal wear, hallmarks, engravings, clasps, fastenings, settings, stones, chains and links where applicable. We identify visible scratches, tarnishing, dents, plating wear, repairs, alterations and resizing where these can be determined from the individual piece.
Does each fine jewellery piece include its original box or paperwork?
Every pre-owned jewellery piece includes a physical authenticity certificate from Lost Designer. Original box, pouch, brand certificate, receipt, care booklet and service or repair documentation vary by item and are included only when listed on the individual product page.
What counts as fine jewellery in this collection?
This collection focuses on pieces made from precious metals such as gold or platinum and may include natural diamonds or gemstones. The exact materials and stone details available to us are stated on the individual product page; we do not assume specifications from the style name alone.
Can I ask a question about this item before ordering?
Yes. Contact our customer care team before checkout for product-specific clarification. Every listing shows the actual item, its condition and stated inclusions.
Are New Zealand orders tracked and insured?
Yes. Every New Zealand order is sent with complimentary DHL Express delivery, full tracking and insurance in transit. Applicable import duties and taxes are prepaid by Lost Designer.
